Featured Design Project: Lynnwood Link

The Lynnwood Link Extension is a transformative addition to the Northgate Link Extension, expanding Seattle's light rail system by 8.5 miles. This new rail service features a combination of at-grade, retained cut, and elevated guideways, with three elevated stations, one below-grade station, and three parking facilities.

KAMP Engineering provided expert Building Management (BMS) and Communications design services throughout the construction phase of this $1.2 billion project, helping to ensure a seamless integration of technology and infrastructure. This extension is a crucial step in enhancing transportation connectivity for the region.

Featured Estimating Project: Austin Transit Partners

This major light rail expansion through downtown Austin includes significant utility work, roadway improvements, at-grade and aerial stations, numerous bridges, trackwork, park and rides, and traction power and systems. Additionally, the project encompasses the development of a Combined Maintenance Facility (CMF) and yard. Tim Kamper led the systems independent cost estimating efforts for this comprehensive project, covering construction elements such as real estate, vehicles, and professional services. The cost estimate was developed following the FTA’s Standard Cost Categories, providing crucial insights into the affordability of ATP’s program and ensuring the project’s financial feasibility.
